Jump the dead battery

If your car is dead and you need to jump it, make sure the other car is parked near you. You will want to connect the red positive clip to the positive terminal of the battery on the dead car. Then take the other end of the red clip and connect it to the positive terminal on the working battery. After this is done, you can connect the black end to the negative terminal of the working battery. Then lastly you will want to connect the other end of the black clip to an unpainted metal part of the dead battery vehicle. Do not connect it to the battery. Once they have been connected, then you can try jump starting the vehicle.

After the vehicle has been running for several minutes, then you can disconnect the cables. You will want to remove them in the reverse order that you connected them in. Doing so will help prevent an explosion or shock from the battery. Make sure have the vehicle run for several minutes so that it can charge up the battery before you need to turn the vehicle off again. If you continuously have issues, make sure to bring the vehicle in. We can check and test the battery, and see if a new one would be needed for your vehicle.
