clear

When you clear the windshield, remember to scrape the entire windshield. While you may be tempted to scrape only a spot large enough to see out of, you decrease safety. If you are not able to see the complete road and area in front of you, you increase the chance for an accident. You will also want to make sure to scrape all the side windows as well. This way you will be able to see any oncoming traffic. If you are at an intersection, you will want to be aware of vehicles from all directions. Also remember to scrape the side mirrors of the vehicle so you can see those behind you.

As you go to start your vehicle on cold winter days, take some extra time. This will allow you to have the vehicle running for a few minutes. Not only will it warm up the engine, it will warm up the interior of the vehicle. When you turn on the defrost, you can warm up the windshield as well. This will help make it easier to scrape and clear off. If the defrost is not working, always make sure to schedule an appointment with us. This way you can ensure the vehicle is working properly and efficiently.

Also remember to remove any snow or ice that may cover the lights of the vehicle. If snow is covering it, you will not have the best visibility when driving. The lights help illuminate the road, but also help others see you. If they are covered with snow, your safety decreases when driving as well. Always be aware of any issues you notice with your vehicle. If something is wrong, make sure to contact us. We can give it a bumper to bumper inspection. By doing so, you can help improve the safety when driving.
